What is Lip Lift?

As we age the lips start to fall down by the effect of gravity increasing the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip causing the upper lip vermilion “red part of the lip” to flatten.

Now you can have your lips rejuvenated permanently without having to make lip dermal fillers. Lip lift similar to lip dermal fillers increases the proportions of the vermillion (red part of the lips), reversing the flattening that occurs with aging, and adds the appearance of volume to your lips.

Lip lift creates a more aesthetically pleasing balance of the facial features and a more youthful appearance to the lips, it also eliminates the lines or wrinkles that form naturally with aging, giving the lips a more pronounced youthful appearance.

There are different types of lip lift procedures depending on the goals desired, each procedure varies to manage a different problem and totally reforms the shape of your lips.

Who is a good candidate for Lip Lift?

If you are concerned by any of the following that makes you a good candidate for the lip lift procedure:

  • You feel that your upper lip area is too long and appears unattractive.
  • You have noticed that your upper lip got longer over time and creates an ageing appearance.
  • The upper lip has become thinner and more down turned with time.

Recovery from Lip Lift:

Patients are instructed to use ice in the following 4 days to limit the lip swelling.

As with most facial rejuvenation plastic surgeries, swelling, bruising, and tenderness should all be expected after lip lift.

Most patients can go back to work in a matter of 1 week to 10 days.

Results should be visible as soon as the 1st week when the swelling starts to disappear.
