What is Facial Natural Fat Transfer?

How is facial natural fat transfer done?
The procedure is an easy one to do with no pain to mention. It is usually done under local anaesthesia in less than an hour, but however general anaesthesia is always available on request.
The fat cells are collected from the thighs, abdomen or any other part of the body that has excess fat. (10 mins)
Fat cells are then processed through a specific Micro-fat filter to reduce the size of its particles to a Micro-fat that is ready to be injected in to the face. (20 mins patient coffee break)
Micro-fat is transferred to the face without adding any chemicals, just the pure fat cells replacing the lost component in facial volume loss, returning back the lost balance to the face permanently. (15 mins)
The donor site typically doesn’t show any changes in their size or shape, there is no need for you to be worried about this point, however sculpturing the donor area is always an available choice whenever is needed.
What is the advantage of Micro-fat grafting in facial natural fat transfer?
Micro-fat allows precise contouring of specific small areas like the cheeks, face, and the back of the hands, because of its creamy consistency that allows the fat to be evenly distributed through out all the enhanced area. It offers the surgeon the easiness in controlling a three dimensional contouring.
Large fat particles on the other hand tend to cause irregularities and unequal distribution of fat in these small areas (e.g. the face) because of the high sensitivity of these areas to any volume enhancement and the lack of good control over large particle.

Patients are expected to have an obviously swollen face for 10 – 14 days.
Patients are instructed not to sleep on the cheeks for 5 days.
Ice packs for 3 days.
The donor area is not expected to change in size or shape.
The results are expected to be seen after 14 days when the swelling starts to disappear.
2nd time lipofilling is possible after 14 days if required.
