  • Inverted-T (Anchor): Most common, ideal for large reductions. A vertical scar runs from beneath the areola to the breast crease, intersecting with a horizontal scar along the fold.

  • Vertical (Lollipop): Involves only a circular incision around the areola and a vertical line down to the crease. Best for moderate reductions.
  • Circumareolar: A single incision around the areola; suitable only for minimal reductions with minor lifting.
  • No vertical scar pattern (Dermal suspension, and parenchymal reshaping). Only a transverse incision is made at the infra-mammary fold, together with a periareolar incision.

What to Expect After Surgery

  • Your breasts will be visibly smaller, lifted, and more proportional to your body.
  • Nipples and areolas will be repositioned to a youthful, central location on the breast mound.
  • Scarring is expected but typically fades significantly within 6–12 months.
  • The amount of reduction can be tailored to your individual needs and goals.
  • Most patients experience both aesthetic and physical relief—lighter, firmer, and more comfortable breasts.

Recovery Process

  • Pain: Mild to moderate discomfort; well controlled with prescribed medications.
  • Drains: In some cases, small drains may be placed and removed within a few days. Many procedures are performed without drains.
  • Sutures: Usually dissolvable; if non-absorbable, they’re removed by day 10–14.
  • Back to Work: Most patients return to work or light activities after two weeks.
  • Full Recovery: Achieved within 6–8 weeks.
  • Scarring: Scars fade gradually and can be minimized with proper aftercare.
