Body natural fat transfer referred to as (fat grafting, lipofilling) simply refers to using your own body fat as a filler to augment the volume of any other part of the body that needs it. Fat is collected from a donor area that has excess fat by liposuction, and is then used as a Micro-fat, Nano-fat, or Macro-fat.

What is the difference between Nano, Micro, Macro-fat?
It all depends on the fat particles size injected to the recipient area:
- Macro-fat:
The particles are as big as they were collected from liposuction, it is suitable for body augmentation like in the buttocks, breasts, and anklets but is not suitable for the face, back of the hands, or forehead wrinkles that require gentile small particles.
- Micro-fat:
The particles size is reduced using specific filters for Micro fat preparation, it is suitable for the face, back of the hands, forehead wrinkles, but not suitable for large body areas.
- Nano-fat:
Nano fat particles are too small to have the fat cells viable; they only retain the stem cells available for skin rejuvenation or scar treatment but are not capable of volume enhancement.

Recovery from natural fat transfer:
It is not considered a highly painful procedure, pain killers in the form of patches, pills, and intramuscular injections if needed totally alleviate pain.
Swelling (edema) should be expected in all cases and lasts for about 2 weeks in micro-fat enhancement, and 3 – 4 weeks in body macro-fat enhancement.
Early walking after the procedure is highly encouraged.
Most patients need about 10 – 14 days off work, 3 weeks before going to the Gym., and 6 weeks for full recovery.
End results are expected soon after the operation however you need to wait for the swelling to disappear after few weeks.
